Highway Church Of God Ladies host convention

THE Ladies Department of the Highway Church of God (Bahamas) this week met in the National Ladies Convention under the theme “Faith to Overcome” at the historic Church of God Temple located KD Josey Way and Crooked Island Street.

An array of mothers and sisters in Christ represented member churches and fellowship partners from across the length and breadth of the Bahamas.

These determined women convened expecting a wonderful move of God. There was music, praise and worship, a dynamic convention choir, fervent prayer and the vibrant spoken word.

Both the plight and progress of the Bahamian woman was discussed and debated, but the Ladies Department believes that praise is always in order for Christ.

The president of the National Ladies Auxiliary, Minister Judy Bethel of Grand Bahama, expected this year’s convention to be a breakthrough event for all of those attendance.

“Women from everywhere can come with an expectation in their hearts and minds that this convention will be a game-changer in their lives,” said Minister Bethel, the wife of General Superintendent Bishop Lonford Bethel.

The Highway Church of God (Bahamas) is a Christian organisation that encompasses churches and organisations throughout the archipelago. It has established relations and fellowships with other denominations and churches in the nation, region and the Americas.
