Believing in the God of supernatural miracles

By Prophetess Mattie

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

(John 14:12)

DO you believe in the God of miracles? To believe means to have faith in, to be totally convinced or persuaded of. Further, to believe in something or someone is to absolutely trust and totally rely upon it/them.

Believing is personal. You hold the power to either choose to believe in something or choose not to believe in it. You become a believer and a candidate for miracles as you extend your faith in God, daily. Eventually, you will also begin to experience supernatural signs and wonders.

Jesus said in Mark 9:23: “If thou canst only believe all things are possible.” In other words, if you believe in God and that He can do miracles, then everything, no matter how difficult or challenging, will come to pass in your life.

I firmly believe that God has intricately interwoven divine miracles within the tapestry of our existence. He has done this as a perpetual reminder of the reality that He is God and that He is willing to bless us from His supernatural realm. It is a fact that everyone at some point in life has needed a miracle. I believe that as you continue to go through life’s journey you will have need them more and more.

Miracles are unexplainable and extraordinary occurrences which God divinely performs in our affairs. These are supernatural events which happen beyond our natural ability or power.

Simply put, you will know that you need a miracle when you have tried everything in the natural and have seemingly failed. Furthermore, you will know that you need a miracle when your back is against the wall and there is no natural way out. For example, you need a miracle when you are facing a legal battle and there is no sight of victory; you may be sick and cannot get well; you find yourself financially incompetent; you are unable to pay your bills and more.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus preached the gospel, healed the sick, cast out devils, and He also performed many miracles. He turned water into wine, healed the eyes of the blind man. He walked on water, fed 5,000 people with two fish and five loaves of bread, called Lazarus forth out of the grave and more.

Hebrews 13:8 says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Even as God worked miracles back then, God is willing to work miracles in your life today, regardless of what it is.

“Thou art the God that doest wonders...” (Psalm 77:14)

Over the years I have personally seen God perform numerous miracles in my life and through consistent prayer, my husband and I have both seen God demonstrate His miraculous power in the lives of people who attend our weekly services. Many persons testified about being healed from various sicknesses and diseases such as hypertension, cancer, eczema, female disorders, and more. We have even seen miracles in the lives of children, including deliverance from mental and behavioural issues, asthma and other physical disabilities.

I can vividly recall a desperate woman bringing a young child into our church service suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome. The child was underdeveloped, unable to talk, crawl or even move, and it was said by the family’s doctors that the child would never function normally. My husband and I prayed. Immediately, before our eyes, the child started moving and talking. We later received word that even the doctors were astounded and said that it could only have been a supernatural miracle.

We have seen so many miracles including people coming out of wheelchairs, persons receiving miracle money on their bank accounts, even persons testifying of supernatural weight loss. One of the greatest miracles we have seen is the miracle of salvation where people have given their lives to Jesus.

If you want to experience miracles in your life or in your family, here are a few points from my newly released book that you may consider:

  1. Believe that God is real. (Hebrews 11:6)

  2. Believe His Word (Matthew 4:4; 2 Corinthians 3:6)

  3. Believe His prophets or human vessel that He chooses to use. (2 Chronicles 20:20)

  4. Pray and seek the face of God (Matthew 6:33, Matthew 7:7)

  5. Confess your sins to God and forgive those who may have offended you. (Matthew 6:14)

  6. Walk in love (1 John 4:7)

  7. Have faith in God (1 John 5:14 – 15; James 2:18)

God wants you to live a victorious life. Seeking Him more and more through, prayer, worship and reading His Word, will begin to uncover greater levels of His work in your life. Your intimate relationship with God will activate the supernatural power of God where signs and wonders begin to happen and miracles are inevitable.
