New summit aims to elevate and inspire

FOR four full days, Bahamians are invited to take the next step in their personal evolution by attending the first annual iElevate Empowerment Summit.

The event, to be held at the Potential Church, kicks off on August 24 and will conclude with a music workshop on August 27. Sessions start nightly at 7pm.

Highlights will include panel discussions and appearances by Elnathan Rolle, Keshelle Davis, Anthony Longley, Terrinique Pennerman, Sammi Starr, Brooke and Steffon Grant, Duquesa Dean, Michaela Munnings, and Simmone Bowe.

Also taking to the stage to provide entertainment will be performers Anthony Munnings, Lenelle Michelle, Richard Kemp, Althea Pinder and the Grace Generation Group.

The iElevate Empowerment Summit is a production of the Elevation Media Group, a faith-based company designed to uplift, motivate and inspire.

Vince “V-Mac” McDonald Jr, CEO of the Elevation Media Group and summit host, said the company is this year is celebrating 10 years of providing media and production services to the Bahamas.

“We decided to introduce a few new events to celebrate and give back to our community, and what better way to do this than with a empowerment summit filled with so much giveaways,” he said.

“The iElevate Empowerment Summit is designed to empower individuals to pursue their dreams, develop personally, professionally and spiritually, and provide them with the tools and resources to do so. It will be three nights of impartation, motivation, networking and great entertainment.”

While this is the first year for iElevate, the group’s plan is to make it an annual event which will attract international attention. “We live in a society where people are crying out for hope, where opportunities and relationships are falling apart. At the end of each summit night we hope that persons leave ready and excited to pursue their purpose, rebuild their relationships and impact the world for good. Still being young and in my 20s, I feel that I have a responsibility to engage my generation and impact them for good,” said V-Mac.

He said topics will range from finances, to God-given purpose, how to start your own business, relationships, spiritual standards and more.

“On Friday, we will end our evening session with a mix and mingle concert, live recording and the official release of Elevation Records’ newest compilation album, ‘Urban Praise Vol 1”.

On Saturday morning, we will climax with a music and entertainment workshop for those persons who want to learn how to become successful artists,” said V-Mac.
