Inspiring women to find their place and purpose in God is the central theme of Evangelistic Temple’s upcoming conference which will kick off next week.

“Released” is the theme of this year’s Women After The Heart Of God conference held annually and organised by the women’s ministry of the church. The conference runs November 8-11.

Sessions will be held at 7.30pm on weeknights, and will culminate at 8am on Saturday, November 11, with a prayer breakfast. All sessions will be held at the Evangelistic Temple on Collins Avenue.

“Guest speakers over the course of the four days are spirit-filled and spirit-led ministers who are uniquely gifted to help women unlock and release the powers God has made available to them,” the church said.

The conference’s opening night will feature guest speaker Dr Jasmin Turner-Dareus, who will give a word on the topic “Released to Prophesy,” with Ezekiel 37:1-4 as her scriptural reference.

The following night, Dr Judy L Smith will speak on the topic “Released to Obey,” with her scripture reference from Ezekiel 37:5-8, while Friday night’s address will be brought by Rev Eileen Johnson on the topic “Released And Quickened”. Rev Johnson’s scriptural reference will be Ezekiel 37:9-10.

Apostle Brenda Pratt will close out the conference with when she address the prayer breakfast on “Released and Positioned”, with Ezekiel 37: 11- 14 as her inspiration.

Minister Vernita Lopez, president of the Women’s Ministries of Evangelistic Temple, urges all women from every walk of life and denomination to participate in what she describes as a powerful, transformative conference. She says it is her belief that God Almighty has already provided and placed on the inside of every born-again believer the power to walk in the miraculous and supernatural. It is up to them to release the power.

“In the Bahamas and around the world, people – women – are in a desperate and dark place. God’s Spirit is seeking to penetrate the spiritual darkness that is prevalent in society and even in much of the Church. As Ezekiel walked among the dead bones he saw very clearly that there was no life in them at all and that they had been dead for a very long time.

“The extreme dryness spoke primarily of Israel’s spiritual bankruptcy as a nation, but it is a bankruptcy still obvious today in our nation and even in much of the church.

“But God has said that the Holy Spirit will use the Word of God to penetrate the spiritual deadness in the souls of men and women,” she said.

“Released” promises “emancipation from lawlessness, sin and powerlessness, as we commit to walking hand in hand with God.”

As in previous years, all conference sessions are free, with the exception of the prayer breakfast which requires a small donation of $5.

Attendees will also be given the opportunity to register for the conference with a seed of $25, which will earn them a gift packet.

Infant and child-care services will be available for children up to age nine.
