AN active weekend for Bahamian pro basketball players in their respective leagues across the globe featured several season high performances. Headlining the list was veteran forward Kadeem Coleby in the Japanese B-League. Coleby finished with 30 points and 15 rebounds - both season highs - in an 89-86 loss for his Akita Northern Happinets to Hitachi SRT. He shot 11-14 from the field and also added two blocked shots. Akita dropped to 6-4 on the season, sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

PRO basketball players tip off regular seasons in Europe
PRO basketball leagues across Europe have tipped off their regular seasons and several Bahamian players were active in their respective teams’ debut. Both Domnick Bridgewater and Kentwan Smith got off to winning starts in France’s Nationale Masculine 2 (NM2) League. Bridgewater led Sapela Basket 13 to an early 2-0 record and recorded another double double.He finished with 19 points and 10 assists in a 90-74 win over Le Cannet Cote d’Azur Basket.

Jasrado Chisholm reflects on historic season
JAZZ Chisholm’s historic 2020 season had several milestones and one primary lesson learned which he hopes will set the stage for a long career in Major League Baseball. “Trust your routine, 100 percent your routine. Everything has to do with what you do every day because your body reacts to what you do every day, so I learned that very quickly,” Chisholm said on the MLB Pipeline Podcast with Jonathan Mayo.
