There is political red-meat and then there is over-the-top remarks. We are still very much a democracy and the PM/FNM was democratically elected. To suggest otherwise with phrases like "poisoned our democracy" and "intoxicated with power" is turning a wheel that itself is counter to our democracy and cannot so easily be shut off. More profoundly, it is self-revealing: It uncovers the naked, odious odor of a weak soul that is heavily burdened with all but three of the Seven Deadly Sins: There is evidence of Pride, Wrath, Envy, and Lust. This is monumental, almost Shakespearean. A tragic figure no less in an unfolding tragedy. The FNM victory ensures an irretrievable career for Mr McCartney.

The PM has already said that he has no interest in a farce, aka a debate, and I support him in that.If Christie and "2022" want to go before Jones and Nikki Kelly, and spew mindless verbiage and pablum, well, that is their affair. Colour red is all about winning, not pandering, and its winning time!

BigD1 12 years, 3 months ago on Bran: FNM not serious about crime

Dacy I agree with you 100%...heres my comment i posted to him quiting as leader if he loses his seat.

This was always the problem I had with Mr. Mccartney. He left the FNM after only two years becuase things wasn't going his way and rather that fixing the problems from within he decided to quit and start his own Party. Now he's saying if he gets beaten at the polls he will quit as leader of his own party. WOWWWW. So if by some misfortune he becomes PM and things don't go his way or Unions strike for unreasonable reasons or people don't agree with him and his policies.....etc I guess he would quit as PM too. He can't be serious

browngranville78 12 years, 3 months ago on Nottage: PM refused to address people

I agree that the situation that played out the other day in Bain and Grant's Town showed how the PLP is so disconnected to the people of the Bahamas. Look at that photograph of Dr. Bernard Nottage's face and you can see the madness coming through. He seems to be performing just like his leader Mr. Perry Christie when speaking at his rallys. These men are so desperate to be returned to power that they will implode when the results are given on the evening of May 7th and they realise that the people has turned their backs on them. During all the years they represented those over-the-hill areas they did absolutely nothing for those people, there is not one positive accomplishments that Mr. Nottage or Mr. Christie could point at that they did for the long suffering people of over-the-hill areas, even after they were allocated some funds that they could do little things, they were too lazy to use the funds. Mr. Nottage in his comments about his not being able to accomplish anything because his Party was not in control of the government was such a lame excuse that I hope he is able to listen to and read afterwards. He should offer an explanation about why was he not able to accomplish anything over the last thirty-five plus years they controlled the government and particularly during the recent years 2002 - 2007 when they were the government but still did zilch on their watch. Now that our 'do something' Prime Minister has decided to take those people under his wings and do something to improve their lot, Mr. Nottage is determined to not let the people see what can be accomplished for their area and themselves in particular. Dr. Bernard Nottage, Mr. Perry Christie and Mr. Brave Davis your time has come and the people has determined that you have failed them and you should find something else to do with your time.

PLEASE, someone tell Mr. McCartney that he needs to get elected before he can be Prime Minister. I will wager that for any of the current crop of DNA candidates to see the inside of the House of Assembly that they will have to do so by sitting in the visitors gallery. He was an unknown prior to 2007 when Mr. Ingraham took him into a FNM stronghold and got him elected and he will be an HAS BEEN after May 7th. Remember what happende to Tennyson Wells, you too shall fail.

HUBERT INGRAHAM WAS THE CONSUMMATE NATION BUILDER......I THANK HIM FOR HIS WORK IN ATTEMPTING TO CREATE A MODERN AND SOPHISTICATED COUNTRY.

The Bahamian electorate is becoming increasingly shortsighted and are showing all the signs of devolving once again into an unsophisticated ghetto society as we did in the drug infested latter Pindling years......The PLP I am sure is happy for this deterioration and will use it to their advantage as Jamaica did with its Garrison politics.

HUBERT INGRAHAM IN THIS LAST TERM.....Built new roads and highways; Modernized the Airport; Built the Stadium; Built The Straw Market; Built three New schools; Modernized Batelco; Built a Brand new Hospital wing; Beautifully Revamped Saunders Beach; Completed the Baha Mar deal; Built the new court building...and much more......all in the worlds worst recession Without mass firing of Bahamian workers (as was the case in the rest of the World)

Bahamians chose to fire and ridicule this hero of a prime minister and chose hype instead.

Throughout the world black nations complain about their plight......but often as black people our plight is out choosing. Bahamians were unwilling to sacrifice for Ingrahams vision of a better country..........A cursed day in Bahamial politics..........we will regret it.!!
